How to Have Wake Induced Lucid Dreams (The WILD Technique)

The human mind is typically unaware of when we are asleep, until we awake. But what if this can be controlled? I found this interesting and as it turns out, we've all had it happen before- whether you remember or not- where you were aware you were dreaming. If you've ever woken up while still experiencing bits of your dreams, (sound wise, maybe even sight wise), it was lucid dreaming. Also, you can make this happen, but it is kinda dangerous because if you have a bad dream, well, it wouldn't be so fun. pretty cool stuff you learn in school :)

I don't see this topic ending too well, somehow.

I've wanted to try lucid dreaming (Inception got me interested in it), but I'm worried about sleep paralysis, and I've never been able to do it anyway. I don't dream that often in general.

^ I also want to try this, but man Iv'e heard that it's no joke. That you start feeling wierd and hearing things and imagining creepy stuff, only afterwards you can enjoy a lucid dream.

I believe it's generally accepted that every person dreams 10-20 separate dreams every night regardless. It's just that you generally don't remember them.

Lucid dreaming is simply where you're aware you're dreaming and take control IN THE DREAM. Including controlling the 'scary stuff'.

If you're awake when it happens, that's not 'dreaming'. That's 'experiencing spiritual stuff while awake' and because you're awake, you're much more in control.

Last night I had a dream with all sorts of stuff, and I got my finger blown off, and was bleeding heavily, but I knew it was a dream, so I woke myself up...

I don't know if I've ever had a lucid dream (probably have) but I have had plenty of sleep paralysis. It is not fun and downright scary sometimes. There was a point a got it so often (daily) that I literally was scared to go to sleep.
