That would be something that would inch me more towards buying a console again.

"We are looking into it" sounds like corporate speak for "We have nothing". I'll believe their intrest when I see screens. Until then, this is just the company that canned Sam and Max.

Now can we PLEASSSSE have a lightsaber/force game! I feel that a remake of Jedi Knight is needed!

They'd have to be pretty retarded to NOT be thinking what we're thinking. :p

Pretty much. Hard for any gamer who has even the remotest awareness of Star Wars to NOT think of this possibility.

If Lucasarts can pull this off right - I mean KOTOR right, Republic Commando right, Rogue Leader right - every SW fanboy out there will crave a Wii.

Why am I not surprised. A Wii-mote+lightsaber=LOVE! :)  I wonder if it might be a lightsaber training game...

I think they're serious. They just don't have anything to show yet.
That was before the questions and the "we're looking into it", so they wouldn't have brought it up if they didn't have plans. It's just that plans is all they've got right now.

I'm thinking LucasArts was hesitant to publish on a Nintendo platform after the GameCube. Then they saw the Wii in action and all the positive buzz it recieved and changed their minds. That's just speculation though.

I agree with you completely. What would REALLY kick ass would be a hilt shell to slide the wii-mote into, much like the gun shell.

It seems like that might get a bit bulky if you have to fit an entire Wii remote in it. I do think a licensed lightsaber replacement remote would be absolutely hot though.

I really doubt anyone could pull it off without sacrificing major gameplay elements.

You doubt anyone could pull of the lightsaber controller or the game?

Exactly what I was thinking. Im sure the E3 turnout changed their mind, but if it were not for that, I doubt they would ever have given the idea a second thought.

I badly want a Wii lightsaber game, but I just dont have a very high opinion of Lucas Arts right now.

If this was the Lucasarts of the 90s i'd be itching for it, but I don't put stock in anything the current outfit produces until I actually play it (and not even then in most cases).

Lucasarts just doesn't make good Star Wars games. They've all but admitted it openly.

They ought to stick to adventure games, like I say.

All the adventure talent is long gone from Lucasarts, not to mention the pathetic shambles that thier last released attempt was and that the adventure end of the business went to shit around the same time the Star Wars end did.

I'd rather they just changed thier name and stopped pretending to be the same company that they were before they turned into a marketing whorehouse for the rest of the Lucas empire.
