Like any one who read it, I loved Land Stand of the Wreckers and have had the urge to do some customs of them. Unfortunately, my bank roll is pretty slim now, as are my kitbashing abilities, and my stock of fodder TFs is really low, so I have to make due. Luckily, all the HftD figures just went on clearance at my toys r us, and tomahawk was born to be made into Rotorstorm. I'm sure this recipe has been done to death by now, but its perfect, so why not?

I decided to go with a clean, vibrant, comic-y paintjob on him, and based on the two DotM figures i just did, it takes waaaay longer to do that than the gritty drybrushing style. I like it though, and if I end up doing anymore of the Wreckers, I'll probably do them the same way. Enjoy!

here he is looking cocky and ready for a fight, so he's probably about to get killed.

I don't think I'll ever get over the movie-esque qualities of that mold, but you've done a very nice job with it. Best custom Rotorstorm yet!

Nice job, I've got one on the table at the moment unddergoing a similar process, though the one on there is going to have his head altered and new legs to hide some of his movie aesthetic better.

I find it's the legs that do that more than anything. with a shin pad hiding the weird looking structure of his leg he looks like he'd fit in with the classics figures better.

Different people have diferent aesthetic tastes, and I feel this mold, especially with such an awesome paint job, would look GREAT on a 'Classics' shelf.

Also- THE SOUNDWAVE CANNONS ARE GENIUS!!!!!! Perfect way to get a classic "turbomaster" looking weapon into the hands of a custom, I'm going to have to borrow that idea!!!

    Great job all around!

@destronger: Actually the cannons are just the ones that come with tomahawk.
