Rotorstorm!!!...okay, there is a bit of a story for this one.

When i was a kid Rotorstorm was always my favourite Transformer. I got back into transformers in about '05, and hence discovered the world of kitbashing. I tried my hand at it, and unfortunately one of the many inevitable casualties in learning how to kitbash was my beloved Rotorstorm. His arms and head were cut off, his rotors damaged beyond repair and his missiles and guns were gone. And for some reason during my "every transformer looks better painted black" phase 'Storm copped an aft-full of way-too-thick black enamel. I don't know why i did it. Actually, he fared better in Last Stand of the Wreckers. I always felt bad about destroying him and even worse when i found out he was euro-exclusive and not easily replacable. But that wasn't the point.

So my mission was obvious then: resurrect Rotorstorm.

I actually completed this custom before LSOTW came out and before i became obsessed with the Wreckers, so while he fits the appearance of the comic he wasn't modeled directly off it (unlike my other wreckers). He was pieced back together, sanded down, painted, and forced to live, dammit, LIVE!!!

    *ahem*

    Enjoy, more Wreckers soon. :D

LOVE it.Where did the arms come from?

I've got a junker Storm myself, lost the tail fins, missiles and the Rotor years ago. bought myself a MIB one earlier this year so I had a complete one. Been trying to work out how to do something akin to this for a while now.
It's Rotorstorm's original head. He got rpainted into MW Sandstorm and Universe Whirl.

it is, the only parts that aren't from the original are the hips, arms and rotor by looking at him.

The arms are from movieverse Stockade

That's awesome. You should fill in the open spaces on the feet to give them a more "modern" feel.

As has been answered, Storm's head is his own (what?). the hard part was ball jointing it, as there is no way to actually take the head apart. You just have to hack away and hope.

Really? YOU like Rotorstorm? :p  Also, the hands are from Animated deluxe Megs. Glad you like it mate, hope it has inspired you. I'm so jealous of your MIB one.

Thanks, there was actually quite a large amount of emotion put into this one. *sniff*

    MWAHahahahahaaaaa!!!!

Thought i'd try my hand at it, i think it took me longer than the actual custom!

Haha, actually i made those spaces on purpose so his feet could bend up to achieve more dynamic poses...

Thanks for the responses and praise everyone, I have been inspired by (read: stolen ideas from) the Radicons for a while, so i thought now is the time to give something back and hope to give others some inspiration.

That is a very good reason to make a custom, and you did a bang up job on this man! Also, your stop-mo skills are pretty 1337!

Love it. I've long said that the only thing missing from that mold was articulation - and maybe some Minicon ports for Universe Whirl. :)
