You go through the "story" as predefined characters. Each character has a faction that levels up during the story. In Multiplayer you choose on a faction before entering and any levels gained in the story remain (ie its persistent across gametypes).

Experience then unlocks character customisation options ever 10 levels, weapons and other trinkets unlock the more points you earn in single player which are redeemed in the LP2 slot machine.

Once you finish the "story" you can bring a custom character of any faction in to play it regardless and continue levelling.

 

Sounds like a nice blend. I need to jump on this between now and Transformers or between Transformers and Reach.

Anyone find any Abilities or weapons they really like yet? Personally, I've been running with Recovery II, Machine Gun SP, Plasma Gun SP, and MkIII grenades.

Oh, I did get an ability to max out my Disc Grenades at startup. Running with that for sure. Disc Grenades are teh bomb.

 

Yeah, I just farmed 1-3 a bunch for points to use in the slots. Got some decent gear so far, but mostly Nom de Guerres and Emotes.

 

5-3 is Easy Mode for farming points. 100+ boxes in 10 minutes.... and funny voices to boot.

 

So I've heard, but I need another person to "charge meh lazor" because the AI refuses to. Not to mention they can't seem to defend two control points either.

That is a valid complaint with the game.
Either you go multiplayer or suffer through horrible AI.

 

If he plays with you clowns, he probably won't do much better, lol ----> kidding.

 

Yeah, but at least they'd be more entertaining.

 

With Twist's outrageous British accent, and Smasher's Coach Madden's rendition, you'd be very entertained.
