... in 2009. ABC is setting the deadline date for the series. Two more seasons - S4 in 2008 and S5 in 2009, both currently planned to air 24-style - and then the show ends. I think this is good news, as it removes the temptation to keep the show spinning longer than needed. More news to follow on May 15th. http://www.eonline.com/gossip/kristin/detail/index.jsp?uuid=75ed77ee-1972-467a-8f4e-b11e4b6a1259
Damn. I was kind of hoping they'd wrap it up after next season to avoid stagnation. Hey, J.J.! You need to Wrap it Up. WRAP IT UP!
I'm just glad it's actually gonna end. I was afraid they'd drag it on forever and ever and we'd never get an ending.
This is kind of old news. They mentioned that they were unofficially going to do this months ago. I like it, I think it's a great idea.
So is this official? I mean, no offense to Kristin, but she's not been the most reliable source of news as far as I'm concerned.
I'm not sure that cancelled is the right word. The producers stated a few months back that they were ending the show around the 100 episode mark.
Far too late sadly. The show was awesome, but this season has been one big flop minus one or two episodes.
really? the 2nd half of season 3 has been the best by far. With the exception of hurley and charlie finding a car, every episode has been productive.
This season started off weak, but it has gotten alot better, back to the usual Lost goodness. About the 2 more seasons, I thought it was official, when it was announced several months ago. By the way, Season 4 will start in January, and run straight through to the finale without any breaks at all.
Heey, I liked that episode. VW Bus FTW. I'm still on board. Season 3 has picked back up after that first 8 episode block in the fall dragged.
I detested the first half of this season, but the last few episodes have me pumped for the finale. Knowing there's an end in sight will keep me watching.
They should wrap it in the next season just in case ratings bomb, then if they get another series green lit should then try to spin off something different for the last one (seeing everyone back in the 'real world' maybe).
Well I guess I'm in the minority here then cause I really liked this season. It explored more of the "others" and talked about who they are and what they're doing. I still think it's a great show and a can't miss for me, but I am glad that its not one of these shows that thinks it can last forever.
