If anyone else has a deluxe movie jazz I'd like you to try this interesting thing I found on him that I believe is the original gimmick for the Spoiler shield.

Normally you fold up the shield or attach it to the shoulders in robot mode. Instead attach the sword as normal to the arm and then snap the shield (with the internal details facing you) onto the swords box section (it has holes on it)

now the shield has some articultion here. and I think it makes the weapon look like some kind of soundblaster.

If neccessary I'll try and find the cable for my digital camera so I can post some pictures of this function.

I'm back with photobucket links. I'm new at this.

I wondered what that hole/loop thing on the sword was. Good idea!

That's to make it look like his movie weapon. It's just hte blaster shield that comes with the authentic robo figures essentially, cept transforms as close as it can.

Personally, I use it for a shoulder holster, since the gun can slide out of that attached piece.

I like it. I did it right away and I think its way cooler than an arm shield. Thanks for finding and sharing Grimwing!

I wouldn't say it was a "lost" gimmick - More a "TF insructions are crap and tell you barely what you need to know" gimmick.

It also probably had a bit to do with his weapon officially being a 'sword' and not a gun. ;)

Hey thanks for the tip... tried it and it looks pretty cool. Then I tried tweaking it again, it seems that there are a number of possible things you can do with the shield... :D
