So they've been talking about this one for years. A straight-to-video sequel was finally greenlit. There was a lot of chatter on the internet from a scene from "The Two Coreys", when Felman told Haim that they only wanted Feldman for the gig. Haim started crying. Watch here... Well, apparetnly there has been so much talk on the internets about 'Straight to video? Lame' and 'Not both Coreys? WTF?' that the flick not only has both Coreys now, but also had it's budget bumped way up and will be obtaining a theatrical release. And it also has Tom Savini. This has potential to suck major balls, but you never know. It could be cool. Read what Savini has to say here... http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=4823
It has the potential to suck yes but that potential was way more when it was minus the Corey's and straight to video, this one actually sounds halfway interesting, it has Savini in it so it can't be a total waste, I don't think I've seen him involved in a movie I couldnt enjoy in some aspect. Is it just me though, or was the original not so great when you watch it now, I use to love it as a kid but I tried watching it about a year ago and just found it pretty lousy.
I still like it. Except for that scene with the beefy, greased-up dude in the tight pants playing saxophone on the beach. That will always be the most frightning scene from that movie. EDIT: Oh, hell! Somebody actually put that scene on youtube! Enjoy:
vampires used to be cool. that was before interview with a vampire and got really bad when blade came around with the goth trend and all.
Haim still looks kinda ....pale. If you look at it iconically like transformers the movie, they would have to nix both of em off the film, and intro new characters. That would be like bringin' G1 back..quote Bay: ..haims' face is too "boxy", and feldman is too big for the scene. But they probly will cameo, in a comic shop no doubt....telling about the old tale of the vampires in the hills.
