I lost 3 auctions for a Classics Megatron in the span of a week 5 years ago.

    1. I was held up by traffic one night and couldn't watch the auction in its final hour.
    2. My internet went out another evening.
    3. The power went out on the same night of the last auction.

No, not since I installed the ebay droid app. I get a notification ping right when it's time to get sniping.

I usually lose due to lack of extra money I can bid with. No biggie though.

Click "add to watch list" on the auction - it will send an email reminder when there are a few hours left.

Or, any decent sniping program/service will work too.....

Or, mobile phone/pad apps that show notifications at whatever window you choose....

This is a really simple problem to avoid in the 21st century.

    Ebay:
Lost a low priced BIN WST jazz by a couple minutes because I kept second guessing myself (Maybe they'll release him with weapons through heero, maybe I should get him because it's such a good price).

Half the price of what the average folks are asking for him. WST is getting to be as tough as g1 to collect.

Or...just bid up to the price you are willing to pay? I find that scares off snipers as well.

My issue is being at work in a meeting and I'm like "Hurry the fuck up I got an eBay bid ending soon!" Soon as meeting is over......OUTBID NOTIFICATION...ITEM ENDED!! Or I get deep in a conversation and I lose track of time with <20 left then I finally check my phone & realize I lost by $1. This happened last night for a lot of 4 Decepticons

It's true, this is always what happens to me. I haven't won an eBay auction in ages mainly because even if I remember and come back to price-war it out, it simply goes above my limit. So this is what I tell myself when I do forget, makes me feel much better. There will always be another chance.

    I'm sorry, I don't sleep/train/take care of my wife/kids with a computer/cell phone/iPadTouchTuneThingwhatever. :)

Just the opposite, it makes it super easy for them to outbid you.

Lost a Botcon Astrotrain for between 20 and 30 euros because the connection went down in the last few minutes.

Lost a Kabaya, Scout size Weirdwolf because he's super rare, and at first i felt I couldn't justify the price. I finally caved and it had ended. It was but it now and around 150 euros, hence my indecision. I have vowed to buy him again should he ever turn up but I've only seen it once the 7 years since I started using Ebay.
