After finding rip-off prices in my city, I'm looking for online sources to find a decent portable Bento lunch box. I've also been checking Ebay, but a lot of them seem overpriced or of questionable quality from China instead of Japan.

I know we have a lot of Otaku fans out here, so hopefully I can get some sources to Japanese online retailers or particular brands or types they recommend.

Other English websites like jbox has a very poor and expensive selection, so it's a pretty grim outlook for me.

I'm looking for a microwave-safe, 2 or 3-tier layers, of resin and maybe with silver ions to prevent bacteria growth (I saw it on one, I dunno if it really works though). Please no links to Hello Kitty or female bento boxes, lol.

    Thanks!

I've never heard of them. Out of curiosity, what makes them more appealing than standard ways to carry a lunch?

Have you tried Ones, or other small appliance stores in P-Mall or Market Village? Or are those the ones too overpriced? There's also a nice store, upstairs in P-Mall that sells Japanese bowls, dishes etc grabbed a few bowls there for living on residence at uni.

Im looking for a bento box, it cant be pinku (thats japanese for pink) or any girl color. It has to be of 2 or more kotoba (thats japanese for 2 compartments) and has be be chibi (small) sized. And has to be really kawaii (cute). Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it first (i want to make shure it’s kawaii [cute]). And it would be nice if it came with matching chopstick holder (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. I have found a bento box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i dont want my gohan (rice) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)

Sorry man, I didn't mean to offend you and your girly bento box taste. But if you like all those feminine designs and colours, hey, I'm not one to judge, but yes my request was quite specific. Yeah...gooo Hello Kitty bento box power...

Thanks for the link! These prices are really good, and you're right, a lot of the good things are sold out, I hope they restock soon!
