Hey guys. Im looking for suggestions on display furniture for TFs. Anyone know of any snap togethor furniture that you could perhaps build a set of display cubes with? Im not looking for display cases (i have a couple of those for the valuables) but more of something open to pose figures and have them easily removable and rearrangeable. Any suggestions? What do you guys do/use? Thanks
Since everyone's living spaces and display needs vary, I'd say hit up your local Target's closet shelving section first, as they have modular type-stuff. IKEA might also be up your alley. Hope this is of some help.
a A while back I saw some guy who stacked aquariums together, forgot what they cost a piece though. I think it was on here.
I swear by these, have 8 of them in my toy room. I keep the link bookmarked because it's otherwise hard to find. just make sure to have them shipped to the store for pickup and not pay shipping, otherwise they charge you like $20 each to ship them: Walmart.com: 5-Shelf Bookcase, Beech: Furniture
I had a set like that but they ended up being POS's.....ime. I guy posted a link to ikea IKEA | Cabinets & sideboards | Display cabinets | DETOLF | Glass-door cabinet they looked pretty nice but it is more of a display case vs shelving.
Go to walmart and get the 6' black wood shelves. They look great for display and are only 45 bucks. You have to put it together though.
I think what he's talking about are the ones made by Sauder... these are the cheap-o of the cheap-o, but IMHO, they're just fine for the job... plenty of space, realistic enough wood grain and most display real estate for the $
detolfs are great though they are improved vastly with acrylic risers, any suggestions on where to get acrylic risers?
I bought mine from Achieve Display. Bought few of different kinds. But if you have Detolf display cases, I recommend buying this for the bottom display. Reversible 3-Tier Counter Display, 15"w, Acrylic Stairstep Risers - Achieve Display I bought two of those and they fit perfectly at the bottom. It was too perfect actually. I had to disassemble the display, take the bottom out, put it in and reassemble it. I use it to display the Binaltechs. 3 cars fit under the stairs and I put the other ones in robot mode on top. Since most things that fits in the Detolf uses only 50% vertically with top 50% being useless unless you have big robots, it was great to maximize spaces. Highly recommend it.
these look really nice (for the price). 3 of them would be in my budget and more than enough space for what i want to display!
