My library has a bunch of Marvel books, and want to know suggestions on what's good. I've read all the Ultimate Spider-man, Ultimate X-men and Ultimate Fantastic Four that they have. I'm more into Spider-man, but will read other things too. The site for my library's search is

You're library has some Hellboy books, Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, and Rising Stars. While they aren't Marvel, I think you would enjoy them and if you are into comics and have not read them, they should go into your "need to read file"

Check out the Runaways if they have it. My library had it and I loved it.

I don't think they have the Runaways, but maybe I just searched it wrong. As soon as I finish reading the Ultimate Guides of Spider-man, Hulk and X-men, I'll cheack out the ones that Wreckgar suggested. Then I might check out Hellboy. I'm trying to stick to Marvel for now.

I'm not really a bug comic book fan yet. The only ones I've bought so far are the Transformers related ones. I read all the manga that I felt like reading from my library, and needed something to read. Luckily the Marvel books are right next to them, and I was on a Marvel Legends thing at that time. I'm really considering starting to buy some of the Ultimate series, especially Spider-man

    Deadpool

    Cable & Deadpool

    Agent X

    Taskmaster miniseries

    Thunderbolts

    Sentinel

Marvel Mangaverse (I know, I know, but it's actually pretty good as long as you skip some of the retarded stuff. The Punisher in particular. The Avengers and Spiderman were both ok. As are the two main bookend issues. The ongoing was really good in my opinion. A shame it didn't last long. For the love of god, do not read New Mangaverse. It's seriously craptastic.)

Thanks for the suggestions, but sadly my library doesn't have any of those. I want to read some Deadpool

You know you can make suggestions to them about getting books, right?

It looks like your library has some Essential X-Men, X-Men: Age of Apocalype, and the Firestar mini trade. All of these are sweet reads imho. I haven't read too much Spidey but anything by Stan Lee or JMS should be good.

I have tried getting them to order the missing Ultimate volumes that they're missing (since they skip around) using the site, but not sure if they're going to. Supposedly if they don't email back that means that they'll order them, but who knows

Read as much as you can and you'll learn what you like and don't like.

I think Peter David's stuff is awesome. Always funny and dramatic. The Planet Hulk story of late has been good and the Dark Pheonix saga from U. X-Men is a classic.
