When I was younger I had the 1985 (I'm sure) release of Dangougar.

Over the years I managed to break the foot-pegs in the Mammoth, and then eventually threw them all out :cry  :cry  :cry

I'm considering getting the newer version of it, but are wondering if anyone can help me out with the request of some good pics of the old and new versions of it?

I found a few pics online, but they're all pretty small.

    Thanks.

    Phill

I have absolutely no idea what dancougar is but that doesn't stop me from Googling!
I don't know but I guess this is the new one.

And guess what? He has just recently been reissued (well at least in Asia) so you don't have to pay so much for him. IMHO he's the MOST have in any SOC collection!

    Thanks.

Some of those pics are better than the ones I found.

I'm considering getting it simply because it's been re-released.

    Thanks again.

Whoa, SydneyY I didn't know you're a fan of Sancougar also? Good links you posted. If I wasn't broke this month I would have picked up the reissue.

Nope, can't say I am a fan. I just like to look up 80s bot cartoons when they are mentioned here. I can't remember most of them but the names are all familiar :)

But I fell in love with the one in my second link. It says "Real Action Robo", the series I was interested in a while ago.
But heck it's expensive. I am broke, too :redface2:

I have an original Dancouga sitting around somewhere. My father went to Japan in the mid 80s and got me Dancouga and the Japanese Gobot power suits. Dncouga's pretty sweet. Now I have to go dig him out and display him. I just don't know where I left him....

I'd never seen that before. That is pretty cool looking. Too bad they're so expensive.

Wish i'd have known about the reissue. I bought the SOC one a few months back for $300.00 When I took one of the figues out.. it broke. This is a delicate toy so be forewarned.

Golden Age, I too was caught off-guard by the release of Dancougar. I was so busy with work that I completely out of the loop with regards to many toy releases, I guess 1 of these days I will start a thread to preview what toys are being released...especially since I live in Asia...

Thought I will add some links on SOC Dancougar I found today:

Ahh so SoC one transforms and combines like in the show. Awesome. The other one I am interested in apparently doesn't. But I am seriously considering getting that version...I need money! :lol

Dude, the SOC one is a technical marvel...I mean, its a triple-changing combiner!? How can anyone top that?! By I can see the attractiveness of the version you're targetting...arrghhh...so many stuff to buy but so little money...

I understand your point, but a toy worth 20000 yen before markups and shipping...If I buy it, I'd probably never play with it for the fear of breaking it. And I don't buy toys for display.

And mate, we need to stop filling this thread exchanging posts saying "I'm broke" "Yeah, I am broke, too" "I have no money" "I don't have money, either" :lol

    But I am really broke.

I get your point about the broke part! I got carried by this month's lack of funds! LOL! How much would it cost to have Dancougar shipped to Australia? The cheapest I can find a DanCougar is SGD$250 before shipping of course.

    Check HLJ. That's where I'll likely be buying mine from;

    *** Edit ***

Just ordered mine, although my girlfriend has offered to pay for it, and make it my Christmas present.

I buy Japanese toys from mostly amazon jp and have them shipped to my parets. So it's hard to say how much the shipping is, as I normally send them cash for the postage to Australia. They always want to put in extra stuff as well as the books and toys I buy, so I send them fair bit.

That sounds good. I will try them when I run out of yen :D  And congrats!

My Dancougar arrived yesterday :D  My girlfriend has said that I can open it as an early Christmas Present.

Not opened it yet, but as soon as I get home from work tonight I'll have that sucker open.
