Ares sucks, whats a good P2P program
one that isn't illegal.
Um, no P2P programs are illegal.
That's like saying the postal system is illegal because you can send illegal things in the mail.
Anyway, do people still use traditional direct "P2P" programs? Surely you must be down with the torrents by now.
what's funny is that I knew that. I feel very silly now.
ok can someone hook me up
if you're talking about for torrents I'd go with utorrent. It's a very small program that seems to have very little impact on your system resources and works very well.
Why does someone always have to pop up in a thread like this to get high and mighty about how file sharing is illegal? Yeah,we all know it's illegal, and 99% of the world doesn't give a shit. At this point, you HAVE to have known this is the reponse you would get,but some inner voice of burning justice still demanded you let us know you obey the law at all times. My,won't you be having a laugh on Judgement Day?
I was gonna say this but I couldnt find a certain answer as to what a P2P system is
There are a number of legitimate downloads out there that run off of torrents. Several companies, including blizzard I believe, distribute their demos, software (in cases where it uses a paid for account), patches, and other media through .torrent files as a way of saving their company bandwidth.
Technically this falls under:
That, and I don't trust you guys to keep this conversation about JUST a P2P client, I expect people to bring up websites, etc., and then we have to start infractions.
