May I ask why you need an import PS2? If you want to play imported games, just buy swap magic

I actually could use a second PS2...and theswap magic is a headache (I have one specifically for pS1 games, and never got it to work).

I don't think you'll have much luck. Perhaps the "Items for sale or trade" forum will help you, or Craig's list.

I heard the Escaflowne game wasn't that great, unfortunately.

You could always buy the PS2 HDD and buy the software that allows imports to play off the HDD with no swaps and no mod chips. I forgot what it's called, sorry.

For the TG-16/Duo i would say just get Nintendo Wii.

True you would be limited to what is available to what is on the Virtual Console but they are bringing the titles at a good pace and there is some great stuff available.

Also Turbo Duo and other TG CD formats will be available shortly and I'm betting it will be cheaper this way then to get the CD's from dealers (especially games like Castlevania: Rondo of Blood).

Yes, but many games (and most imports) won't be relesed on VC. I'm also a collector...never had one originally :)  Thanks for the sugggestion though :)

Acutally There is a good chance of games that were never originally released outside of Japan to see a VC release. Battle Lode Runner was Japan only and was recently released worldwide on the VC and it looks like Sin & Punishment may see the light of day as well.

It probably will come down to language availablity or if the original publisher wants to bother with a translation or not.

Ture, after playing a few games on VC I couldn't believe I missed such a great system when it first came out. Glad I got over it since all the places I found selling the system wanted too much for the games.

    Ebay:
Let me double check as I may still have some PC Engine games left. I sold my PC Engine Duo (along w/ a few other systems) a few months ago to buy the Elite 360 system. I too am a VG collector, but w/ a lot of the games I wanted showing up on the Wii's Virtual Console I felt some of the systems that I didn't play as much were expendable. That and the wife told me I had to sell them or I couldn't buy the Elite!

There is a Turbo Duo emulator that will run the original discs, both domestic and Japanese. You can buy the games off eBay and then buy (it's not free) the emulator and play on your PC.
