I want to get one of these for my brother. I see a bunch of them on ebay, but none of them appear official? I recall hearing something about an official release of both Cloud's and Sephiroth's swords. Anyone have an idea?

The only licensed buster sword is the 1:6 scale master arts version. It's little more than a letter opener.

    Go for the amazon ones.

Thanks for the info guys. The ones on Amazon aren't exactly 1:1 scale, right?

No, more like 1:2, or even 1:3. That sucker was huge.

Doesn't TrueSwords have a full metal version of that blade that weighs 15 pounds or something? That would almost seem right. Still, it is a huge friggin sword. I just watched Last Order again this week, and it still gets me every time I see Zack swinging that massive steel plank! Pure badass.

I wouldn't bother. IMO all the Cloud swords out suck huge ass. You can't get them to scale and they all look like crap.

Which is why I'd rather pick up the official replica gunblades, instead.

That thing is still not full scale.

    Bugger was HUGE.

Although I have a short friend who is a total FF7 freak (and actually looks a LOT like Advent Children Cloud, like, uncannily so), and it looked good on him.

Pretty sweet but I ain't spending over a hundred bucks on a sword for my brother. That's a little out of my price range. :p

There's a liquidation place that sells cheap/KO swords (essentailly the same sword as the officially liscenced ones, but typically lower quality steel, slightly modified grip designs, lower quality leather, etc...) that has been selling the 'buster sword' in both the regular and a black version for a while at ~39$ CAD. It's the same size and design as the trueswords ones, so it might be worth checking out any liquidation stores in your area

What's the name of the place? I might have one nearby.

Hamilton is lousy with liquidation stores.

It's called Bianca Amors Liquidation super center.

But if you look in any flea market or liquidation place you might have some luck
