I'm trying to decide between Honda Civic DX vs LX. I was originally going to go with the DX until I found out it didnt come with radio/air conditioning as part of the standard (that isnt standard these days?!) so now I'm looking at the LX. Anyone have either and have any opinions? Toyota corolla is a couple thousand cheaper but I'm just liking the Honda more.

I think My03Tundra picked up an import recently and did a lot of research before he picked it up. Either PM him or look for any of his posts here.

Well... do you plan on having anyone ride in the backseat AT ALL? If so, I'd rule the coupe out. The back seats on the Civic coupe are meant for NO ONE over 5'8" and the legroom is a big issue. Although the LX has some good basic features, for future better resale value I'd go with an EX if possible. They tend to sell slightly better and get better offers for trade-ins.

The sedan is a good choice but for me I wanted either a wagon or small SUV for hauling options and a lot of cargo space if needed. If you are considering the Civic, I might also suggest the Honda Fit. They are competitively priced and have a lot of interior space and are rather comfortable.

This is my second option. I sat in the 2009 model (no 2008) and with the current 1000 rebate going on until (today ends?) it was really tempting over the weekend but I just like the civic's look more. How does the 2008 compare with the 2009?

The Subaru Impreza 2.5i would be another good choice. I think they're going for around 18ish.

I've got a 2006 wrx and love it to pieces.
