Hey, just reading thru the Leader Class Optimus Prime instructions, noticed he has 27 steps for transformation. I was wondering, which Transformer owns the crown for most steps involved in transforming?

I'd say something like one of the Alterenities. The Alternator Mustang mold might also be a contender, but I don't know how many steps it has. I just know it has a lot.

For most recent toys, I'd say Breacher.

Yup for his size ppl can sometime underestimate him, he's rather complex & has very involved transformation for a scout class.

I think Masterpiece Megatron takes the crown for this one. I don't have the instructions on hand with me, but I do remember it took me at least an hour to transform him initially.

Death Star Darth Vader. Most steps involve giving each panel a massage in order to get it to fit properly

I think MP Megatron, so much so that people don't even bother attempting the transformation.

other than mp rodimus which i don't have yet, mp megs has close to or over 100 steps including the little sub steps in his instructions, so he easily takes the cake from rotf prime

Megatron is the only one i won't start for fear of getting bored after 5 minutes, and having to transform it back so it fits in the box.

Roddy gets a nod for being a bit fiddly though.

MP Megatron could have a boom written about it's transformation.

I like this question, but answers are useless without actual factual numbers about the steps. Is anyone going to actually go find out the number of steps MP Megs has?

    Urgh. Fine, I will.

Officially, MP-5 Megatron has 23 steps, but its misleading because while pushing his forehead down is only step 2, sorting out his feet and trigger, (ie, folding the feet, storing them, and swing out out the trigger half) is all step 17, which is represented by 15 images...
