This is one of the few bots i dipped in iryopsil(?) alcohol and repainted. As you can see, i'm still using the same type of painting materials.

Here is a repainted Longarm Prime back-story.
As a student of Optimus, Longarm had always idolized his mentor. When a herald of unicron called the Puppeteer attacked him, his life was changed forever. Rebuilt by Blaster and Sunstreaker, Longarm chose to end his name in Prime, to signify his rebirth, take his true rank, and show how loyal to Optimus he was.

Since Longarm Prime's weapons were all left on Earth, his only weapon is the experimental False Matrix of Leadership. It has an energy signature similar to the real matrix and uses a hologram projector to fool decepticons. To an autobot, the matrix gives strength. In the hands of a decepticon, the decepticon is put into a 24 hour stasis lock. The only decepticon that knows of it's power is Animated Shockwave, as they once swtiched bodies and acquired each other's memories and as he is Longarm Prime's animated universe counterpart

    UPDATE-
After finding his way around Cybertron, he found a rifle. Using that as his primary weapon, he found his way to his city of origin. There, a decepticon army of drones attempted to destroy it. Remembering his other hero, Ultra Magnus, he found some pieces of metal and made himself armor. Using his new armor, he defended the city, while taking his new armor to help his friends on Earth

looks like it would help alot to thin your paints down, and use more, thin layers instead of one thick one. Also, the paint scheme of the truck is a bit... unlikely, but hey, thats never stopped the deco of transformers before.

All in all i like the idea.

If you use enamels, look at the bottle,it says shake, stir and wait between coats.

Believe it or not, this has only two coats. Thanks for liking him though.

    I use acrylics.

Can you guys help? I need help on deciding the right bots to make his armor from. I have an Armada Jetfire and some other bots to make his armor from. Or can you recommend something else?

With the acrylics, what I suggest doing is keeping a little thing of water (I use a bottle cap, half full) and dipping your brush in it every so often. It keeps your paint from "gunking up" on the brush and makes sure everything goes on smooth.

ETA: that's one wild backstory. I like the idea of a "fake-out" Matrix designed to throw people off. Heh.

Nice custom. I like the idea of a fake Matrix to fool people.
