Mega Movie Franchises are the biggest thing in the film industry right now, but they've been around for quite some time.

What are some of the huge pop culture film series people may be incredulous you've never seen any chapter of.

For me:
Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Fast and The Furious
Saw
Halloween

BTW, not intended as a value judgement. Just movies I've never gotten around to or thematically just not my bag.

That said, what haven't you seen?

I haven't seen a single Pirates or James Bond movie.

I plan to change that soon, though.

 

Pirates, Potter, Halloween, Jaws, and the Godfather

 

Mission Impossible and the Oceans trilogy are two I can think of, but I can't think of much else.

 

A few of them I've already taken care of. Up until two years ago, I didn't see any of the Nightmare on Elm Street or Japanese Godzilla movies. Hellraiser and some other major kaiju franchises are all that come to mind now.

 

All the ones people have listed i have seen at least one film once. Most i've seen all at least once. I have no life.

 

I've never seen any of the Land Before Time series. What are they up to now, 100?

 

I've pretty much had no interest in Mission: Impossible, Pirates Of The Caribbean or The Fast And The Furious. There's just nothing drawing me in there.

Most of the old-school slasher franchises I've seen at least two entries of, including their originals and despite my general aversion to meat movies.

-harry potter (i was being watched with my aunt, she had a friend's daughter. she replayed the exact same 10 seconds where harry wakes up in a bed for 7 hours. i wasn't allowed to disturb)
-twilight (vampires should only sparkle if they're about to burst into flames or explode. also, started tween movies)

 

Ok soap operas i've never watched.

Some series i've only seen in certain ways:

-Twilight series i only watched with Rifftrax. Dear god those things are dumb.
- paranormal activity saw first one with Rifftrax iirc. Only one i watched.

- ok i never watched Narnia series.
- sort of a series would be the Rob Zombie films other than Halloween. Don't care for his stuff.

I've never seen a single Chronicles of Narnia film. Also, The Twilight Saga should be locked in the Ark of the Covenant.

 

That's the only reason I've seen a Twilight, Harry Potter, or Hunger Games movie.

 

Most of the movie franchises I've never watched seem to be old ones like Rocky and Terminator.

Like, some I've never really had interest in, such as Rocky

Some I don't care about, like Harry Potter

Some I really want watch at some point such as:

Robocop
The Godfather
Terminator
Mad Max
James Bond

And some I might end up watching at some point like Alien or Indiana Jones.

 

Why are you on this forum? Why aren't you watching Robocop or Terminator right now??

 

The only Mad Max you need to watch is Fury Road.

For James Bond, watch the Connery (and Lazenby), Dalton, and Craig movies and you will be golden.

There's only two Terminators, two Godfathers, and one Robocop.
