Consider this my PSA for the day - transformed Lockdown and immediately broke his right hand in half at the peg - apparently they A) Don't align vertically w/ his forearms and B) are made of some very brittle plastic.

Now I just have to go raid more stockrooms for a second Lockdown! DOH!

    A) is correct. A couple of members here have taken advantage of B) and managed to shave away a bit of plastic so that the hands will align properly with the forearm.

They should sticky-thread the animated 'fixes' and 'touchups'

While I agree with A), you're wrong on B). It might just be your fig, but the plastic on my LD's hands are fine.

Ah, sorry if I'm treading over old territory...today was the first time I got hands-on w/ a Lockdown...it was also the first Transformer I've truly broken in about 20 years, so it surprised me!

It is very traumatic. The only two I have broken in my adult life were OpOp and TM Megs who died a horrible 'crotch rot' due to brown plastic.

I know! Brought me back to that Xmas morning in 85(ish), sitting there w/ a Deluxe Roadbuster in my lap, his right arm broken off at the shoulder!

Luckily Lockdown's got a handy pirate hook so that he can cover his (my) shame! :D

Yeah, the fix would be great, if I hadn't already snapped his hand in half. I'll definitely transform my next one a wee bit more carefully.

But, hey, pirate hook. So it's all good! :)

Just broke mine, looks like I will be owning two lockdowns.. at least it was the right hand I broke off and the hook hand covers it up. I think he just became the first candidate to be repainted.

I'm thinking sanding the injection molding nubs down giving him a very nice gloss black, and then silver/chroming the pipes and engine. Plus with a second figure... ratchet gets his EMP generator back.

I tend to transform a TF very slowly and carefully when I'm doing it for the first time. This was what prevented any harm from befalling my Lockdown - my methodical approach exposed the fact that his hands could only fold out so far.

I fixed the left hand of mine and it works perfectly. I did not bother with the right one since I always use to hook.
