So I got one of the first Lockdowns on ebay along time ago. Can anyone with a retail release look at your Lockdown and tell me if you have a 5 digit number above the screw on his pelvis I guess in the back? I dont see this similarity on my other figures.
some of my pre release stuff has those number too. i think theyre supposed to be manufacturing plant tracking numbers or summat, so they can detect where leaks are coming from.
Some kind of tracking or serial numbers one assumes. They've been seen all throughout Cybertron and since, though visibility from toy-to-toy varies, so sometimes it's pretty easy to be unaware of them.
Bought Lockdown retail today. Number on his back is 80151. Also just noticed Deluxe Cybertron-mode Prime has a number in his "arm-pit" which is 80141. Went looking for numbers on the others I have, 2-pack Deluxe Megatron has his in roughly the same place as Lockdown and the number is 80701, and Prime from the same pack has the same number on his right "shoulder blade".
thanks everyone, just something i never noticed. i know toys will have a number of something, just never noticed it so visible.
...well whaddya know? There is a number stamped on mine. (Mine's from the Cinci test market.) Must be part of a tracking or serial system.
why its Lockdown's Bounty count! Cyb. prime is the number of hours spent on fixing bridges, and on Megs. its # of Autobots killed for the cause. 2 pack Prime's must be number of hours on repair as well-looks like hes been busy since he changed to an earth form
My soundwave doesn't have a number. i looked everywhere. all he has is left and right designations and 1 and 2 on lazerbeaks wings.
