The other day at work, the power went out for a while. Not a pleasant thing in Central Texas in the middle of a brutal heat wave (six straight weeks of highs 100+ !), so I called home to make sure the power wasn't out there as well and that proper precautions were being taken just in case (cool water on hand, etc, etc). My daughter answered the phone, so I asked her if she still had electricity at home -which thankfully they did, and she put her mother on. Her mother and I ran over some things to do in case the power went out, and as she was getting off the phone, I heard my daughter asking to talk to me again. She gets on the phone and tells me: (I can't make this up) "Daddy, go out there and see if you see Lockdown driving around, I bet he's shutting the power down!" My jaw hit the floor. I've watched a few episodes of Animated with her, but none that had Lockdown in them. I asked her how she knew about Lockdown - "Duh, YouTube!" Little scamp has been watching Animated without me knowing! And didn't invite me either! She made me promise that if I found Lockdown, I'd go to the parking lot to find Bumblebee (someone in the support battalion nearby has a Bumblebee Camaro that's she seen and gone nuts over) and let him know what was going on. Anyone else's kids do things like this?
