I was referred here from the toy forum about finding Opinions on a good vendor for a G1 devastor? Thanks! So much info in here I figured it be easier to get a thread here.

They sell a 60 dollar KO set that looks like the encore set I like. And a 14 dollar one too

If there's an official reissue of a toy, I'd highly recommend getting it over a knockoff.

Unless you're buying from some guy on eBay with zero feedback and a very vague item description, yes, just trust it. If you're buying from a store in the US then you're definitely getting the real deal. It's illegal for them to sell direct KOs like the one you were looking for. And you can always go to Google Images and type in Devastator KO, then Encore Devastator, and you will see two very different boxes.

Reprolabels? How much u paid for KO at time? I noticed that's a cheap KO and a KO encore edition. Which one did u have. I wonder how bad the cheap 14 dollar one is

Ioffer is like KO ebay central. I think there's a rating system there. They seem to be reliable, depending on the seller.

Message Daelite20. I think he has one left over. He owns AcesToyStore.com, but doesn't have it listed on his site.

I bet over time the Encore will go up in value a little bit, but probably not so much where you should look at it as an investment. Just open it up and enjoy it.

I also totally agree with Grimlock_13's statement. While the high quality KO's can be awesome, there's usually something off about them. Could be rusty pins, a cracked part, really messed up paint. You never know. If you buy an Encore reissue from an established online store and there is a problem, it will be easier to resolve than if you bought from some guy in China.

But if you want a yellow or orange or black Devastator, KO is the way to go.

The cheaper the price the cheaper the quality is. I have the < $20 KO devastator and it barely holds together in combined mode.

It pays to do your research first.

The KO giftsets listed on Ioffer, etc are suppose to be nearly as good as the original toys (quality wise) but I have no in person experience with them.

I have both the high end KO, the big lots KO and a vintage.

The High End KO is the best of the bunch. Plastic feels better on it. Very closely followed by the vintage.

The big lots is all the way at the bottom. I play with the Big Lots one with my son. He loves it!
