I'm pretty sure this is where this thread goes. I laughed pretty hard when I saw this.

I came across this dealership's website in search for a body shop estimate. These guys are in my home town. Check out what they used for the Camaro in the home page photo! It's TFTM Bumblebee...the actual toy! You can see the panel lines and everything.

I thought this was hilarious and thought I would share. Seems like the web marketing team was a little lazy.

Actually, though, this type of thing belongs in TFGD, not the Funnies Forum. The Funnies Forum is for fancomics.

But please feel free to have a look around, while you're here! Just don't look at that Blurry Robot Theater. The author is full of nonsense. :)

I wonder if the person creating that graphic is a TF fan and this was an easter egg they put in for fun.

I googled a few different things and the only way the image came up is if you type "Bumblebee Camaro". I guess they used it since it was the only one I noticed on a white background.

Back when I was working at our local Chevy dealer I had a TF movie 1 poster on my office wall, and most of the toys that were GM products on my desk.....

That's pretty funny. I guess it was the only cool picture he could find!

I'm pretty certain Bumblebee was put in there intentionally by the designer who created the graphic. A dealership would have access to plenty of promotional photos of the real car, so it wouldn't be a case of being "lazy" or not being able to find an image of the car.

Kind of like how I was working on a supplemental graphic for a client's Web content and re-colored a tractor/trailer graphic using Optimus Prime's color scheme. Just my own little fan nod in a place few people will probably notice.

They obviously intended to have Bumblebee in there, but the lazy bit was not using a graphic of the actual Bumblebee edition Camaro car, and using a toy image that's out of scale and on a totally different perspective plane from all the other vehicles.

Ah, okay, that makes sense in terms of being lazy. I was thinking of it as "I'm going to slip a picture of a Bumblebee toy in there instead of a real car". :)

I bet it was done intentionally to grab peoples attention and promote sells. I say good advertising strategy.
