I just can't decide. I have enough money for on Collector's Edition, and I will have enough for the other in a few weeks. I just don't know which to get first. LittleBigPlanet 2 comes out tomorrow, and Dead Space 2 the 25th.

So, which do you guys think I should get?

Get LBP2, Dead Space 2 is a disgrace to what could have been a great franchise.

I like DS, but there is simply no question as to what I am getting tomorrow. And ultimately, LBP will keep on giving, especially the sequel, since it allows for a lot more than just platforming.

edit: Oh wait, I just understood better what you said. Since you will be getting both eventually, get DeadSpace first, beat it and then allow yourself more time for LBP. By that time, more user content will be available.

Not to dirty the waters. I am getting LBP and my pick up DS2 when there is a deal on it or a sale where I will save by buying that and Mass Effect 2..... Or once my willpower caves and I have to get it.

Yeah, if you're getting both get Dead Space 2 first so you can get in on the multiplayer while it's hot and avoid spoilers.

But it's not an either/or. He's asking which he should get first. Since LBP thrives on the creation of other players, getting DeepSpace first would let LPB's fans create more stuff, by the time he's ready to pick it up. :)

Well they technically can. There was a really cool Deep Space level in LBP1. It had some incredible lighting and sound work. I can't imagine what they'd do with the sequel.

Well the OP made up his mind, but I wanted to say that I find LBP very exclusionary. I wouldn't have the time to sit and make my own levels, nor would I really want to. With part one, I found that the player made levels were either interesting but short, or long and boring, or totally not worth playing. I guess I found that without a narrative, I just didn't care enough to keep playing the levels online. I also was annoyed that I couldn't fully explore the single player game without a 4 player group. I was mostly playing just 2- players.

Now, I'm not complaining becuase there will be some people who really tap into the full extent of features for LBP2 and they will love it. I'm just being honest that its feature set is not for every kind of gamer out there. I snapped part 1 up and was pretty mesmerized by the art style(and since New Mario Bros Wii and DKC weren't out, I was really thirsting for a platformer). Now that I've grown used to that, I'm happy with waiting a while to get part 2 since I'd really only be out to play co-op through the main campaign, and that wouldn't really justify the new pricetag.

Heh, so all that said, I would also vote Dead Space 2 first.

It depends. I think I'll avoid LBP2 for now, as I don't like to play create it yourself games, I want the game ready for me.

Well, my willpower caved and I'm gonna get LBP2. I figured by the time I get bored with the game I will be able to afford DS2. I also have a 10% off coupon that expires Friday, which I feel like I need to use.
