This game is from Codemasters (Operation Flashpoint, Dirt and D&D Online) and Netdevil (Auto Assault) are developing a space MMO game. Sorta like EVE online, but there's a core difference. EVE online kinda treats you as the captain of a ship, Jumpgate has you pilot the ship. This game is basicly a Massive Multiplayer Online Space Combat game.

The previews and articles I've seen on this game compare this to an online version of Wing Commander and Privateer (same setting I know!). One little neato factor I've read is that they allow mouse & Keyboard controls but also joystick control.

I signed up for it's closed beta, hope I get it :D

    Here's the offical website,

    Jumpgate Evolution

and here's some articles about it from Kotaku.

I bet it's gonna be hard to fly your ship and type to chat at the same time.

Hells Yes. A Sci Fi MMO that doesn't require a degree to play it. Make it so.

I pretty much trust your taste in sci fi games Dagger, so assuming my PC runs this, I will check it out. Not worried about Mouse and Key controls, as Freelancer only had that.

The game's minium requirements are very small right now.

    OS: Windows 2000/XP/Vista
CPU: Intel Pentium® III 800 MHz or AMD Athlon 800 MHz
    RAM: 512 MB+
Network: 56k modem or better Internet connection
Video: 32 MB 3D graphics card with Hardware Transform and Lighting
DirectX™ 9.0c (included) and latest video drivers

The graphics look a little dated for the game, but they're not ugly.

Oh shit, I can definitely run that. Dated Graphics don't bother me. I've been trying to run Daggerfall on my PC, but it's too fast, heheh.
