I think we'd all better wait to see how much of it actually follows through. Sure it's green-lit, but so was the rumor about what happens to Batman as of One Year Later at http://www.comicbookresources.com/columns/index.cgi?column=litg&article=2199 (OTOH we don't know if that happens during 52)
That is an insanely stupid way to relaunch Alpha Flight. Marvel has done some stupid crap in the last couple years, but this has got to take the cake. Alpha Flight made up of American superheroes? That's like having an X-Men team made up of non-mutants or the Great Lakes Avengers made up of competent heroes. What the hell is Marvel thinking? :huh
As usual, this crap will all be temporary. Marvel is just trying to shake things up a bit. They've killed off Alpha Flight before and brought them back. They'll do it again. If history has any basis in fact, sales will drop in the books they screw with too much and then they'll rush in to fix things back to the way they were before. The new Alpha Flight just sounds ******ed to me and using Cap and compairing him to some sort of draft dodger is like spitting in the face of Cap's fans.
Captain America leading Alpha Flight? Thats fucking GENIUS. The only thing thats ******ed about that is the fact that the real Alpha Flight had to be KILLED OFF for it to happen. Otherwise it's an inspired move. Inspired.
