Many more were never officially released via Hasbro UK (e.g. included in their product booklets) but found their way to the UK via other means. The following were never officially released:

    1. The Constructicons (some claim these were eventually released in 1989 - sans Devastator parts - but I haven't seen evidence they were official Hasbro UK releases, as opposed to imported stuff)

    2. Trypticon

    3. Sharkticon / Gnaw

    4. Predacons

    5. Sixshot

    6. Autobot Pretenders - Sky High, Splashdown, Groundbreaker

    7. Decepticon Pretenders - Bugly, Finback, Iguanus

And there are some more but I have to be somewhere else now!

There were also lots that weren't released when they were supposed to be, but were eventually released later e.g. both Megatron and Prowl were never released originally!

I bought the constructicons in Woolies back in 89 just before the action masters :)  I'll update the list with the new suggestions.

Likewise. I spent years looking for him, before a cool aunt picked him up from Singapore on holiday (yes, I bugged my family that much) and completed my dinobots!

As a kid I would've sold my gran for any of these 3. I was gutted they never got released here.

I think that's why I've now got Ani Swoop and Shockwave, and Alternators Shockblast.
Still looking for a reflector substitute.

Back up, man, I liked the jumpstarters.

Did we ever, officially, get Ratbat, Overkill, Slugfest, etc?

I suppose we never got Minerva, Browning, etc? Did we? I don't know.

But I know I liked the jumpstarters.

I remember seeing the advert for them and I was impressed, then I bought one and the sodding thing always fell over whenever I transformed him.

Same here. I'd just left school and started work so I was able to grab all six Constructicons in one go.

I picked up a Sixshot here way back too (maybe about the time Overlord was over here for his limited Euro run). There weren't any shops that sold imported TF where I lived back then so I can only assume I got it from a normal shop as I distinctly remember coming back from town with it. Possibly some misdirected stock that found its way to a UK highstreet chain store and I lucked out.

I also remember getting the Constructicons in 1989 (with Devastator parts) and even still have the cardbacks. I can try digging them out of storage but IIRC they didn't have anything on there to distinguish them from US releases.

They came from Woolies as well - and my brother swears he also saw Predacons there once, but we worked out he might actually have meant Pretender Monsters. The guy was like, six years old at the time.

Trypticon I remember was a UK "Lucky Draw" affair - the only release I know of was in a contest through the UK TF comic.

I bow to superior knowledge on the Constructicons then!

Pretender Monsters were going to be my next suggestion on ones we never got...we definitely didn't get the Predacons.

I remember at the time, the UK comic was full of "when are we going to get toy X?" questions. It made it worse that most of the toys we WEREN'T getting (Blaster, Shockers, Swoop, Predacons et al) were playing a major part in the comic at the time!

A toy shop in Coventry had all of those in when I was Lad but I can't for the life of me remember its name. Was a great toy shop.

TRU definitely had this in although not in gift set form.
