I can tolerate if the toy deteriorates naturally over time but I really can't stand when vehicle parts hanging off the back. Feels like the designers have run out if ideas. E.g. PRID Optimus and FE Vehicon.

Gimmick butt syndrome - When a toy's gimmick is located/can be activated in the robot mode (and/or alt mode for those with beast modes) butt/base of beast mode tail. Examples: Armada Hot Shot, Cybertron/BW 10th Anni Megatron, nearly any version of Dinobot. Combine syndrome - When a toy has very drastic compromises to one or more of their modes due to the fact that they must combine with another figure, either as a power up or as part of a gestalt. Examples: Most Energon Autobots, (especially Energon Wingsaber) RiD Midnight Express.
Gimmick break toy syndrome (GBTS) Where the casual use of a toy's Gimmick will break the toy itself Examples: RTS Wreck-Gar
Flaky chrome syndrome - disturbingly common during the Beast Era, the chrome on toys with this tended to chip and flake very easily. Particularly severe cases would have their chrome flake in huge chunks or even flake without even being touched.
Gimmick Butt Syndrome-The way to activate a gimmick is via pushing something/shoving something up something else that is near the toy's rectum. Examples: Armada Hot Shot(and it's repaints) and Beast Wars Tenth Anniversary Megatron(and it's repaints).
BMS (Bot Mode syndrome): When a specific part of robot mode (Also applies to alternate mode) is left in plain sight. E.X. DOTM Deluxe Optimus, Almost every Helicopter TF in existence, & the first Movie Starscream figure (in both modes).
Useless hand syndrome (UHS) The figure's hand is more Kibble than it is an actual hand so its essentially useless for holding anything Examples: Many Bayformers Including Deluxe movie 1 Barricade, Transmetal 2 Dinobot Related to: Worthless hand Syndrome (WHS) Kibble surrounding the hand nerfs it overall usefulness as a grasping tool. Hand can be used to hold items... from the top of the fist. Examples: Beast Wars Cheetor, Prime First Edition Cliffjumper, Universe Hotshot

Examples: First Edition Cliffjumper, RTS Jazz, Any G1 Megatron with the trigger crotch Unmatching Paint Syndrome When a toy's windshield panel is also supposed to be the color of a toy's primary color, but the panel is all clear and thus requires pant, although the paint doesn't directly match the plastic color of the toy. Examples: First Edition Cliffjumper, Animated Bumblebee.
