Briefly back to topic, the clone machine is the worst of the plot contrivances if you ask me

 

I liked the imagery and how the protoforms kinda looked like vehicons, but it kinda took away from the autonomy of the vehicons in that they really are just clones

I liked it. It was a nice nod to Animated and allowed Starscream to get a new T-cog, which will probably get installed next episode.

Well, it kind of makes sense. My guess is Megatron just took a really dumb but dedicated decepticon and cloned him to make his army.

 

Does the ship being Trypticon count??

 

No, because nothing in Prime suggested that it was Trypticon or even a Cybertronian.
FOC and Prime are not the same.

Would Laserbeak count from Triage since half that episode was about how Ratchet and Raf hijack him into a sleeper virus carrier that allows the Autobots access to Soundwave's info?

 

Argubly. However, since he was not the main drive of the episode, instead a convenience, I doubt he would be considered a proper Mcguffin.
