I think they want to add it as a coating to kevlar so that bullets will actually bounce off it. Beyond that, they are hoping to use it to coat regular fabric to make it bullet proof. Pretty cool stuff.

Someone was reading Frank Teri's Iron Man run where he actually had liquid armor.

As for making one yourself, already on it. :D

Isn't liquid armor one of the driving forces in Ultimate Iron Man?

I was reading up on this and found some extra information. Apparently, it's not as great as they claim and that there was a bit of a mis-communicating being done... yes, it IS liquid armor, but only protects you from liquid... so... there you go.

The best answer I can give is, kind of. Stark invented an armor paint. You can apply it directly to the body and it acts like an armor. However, it needs to be washed off within a cetrtain amount of time otherwise it deteriorates the skin. The only one who can wear it is Tony and he needs it because his whole body is one large sensory organ.

So it's like a really really expensive wetsuit. However a lot of dangerous chemicals are liquid so who wants to go swimming in some sulfuric acid?

Being a super hero sucks. The pay is crap and the hours are long. I'd rather be a programmer.

The fact that the professor was from the University of Delaware, makes this a whole lot cooler.

How do they miscommunicate a rubberized coating into bullet-proof armor?

Oh, come on! It was fun watching it go over everyone's heads.

Okay. I admit it. I wasn't really sure he was joking, either. :redface2:

This is pretty neat. I wonder what radius/size of impact the armor can deflect and at what speeds...

Gee, third or fourth generation of that, and I'll be sure to wear it when I travel back in time for my crime spree. :D  :ev:
