That's insane! One hell of a movie tie-in.
Pretty damn cool imo. Tis REALLY REALLY real?
I have the same question. It seems a bit too much.
I don’t know if I like the idea of money being used for advertisement.
I'll be sure to hold onto a few.
Regardless, I need to get myself some of these quarters, because limited-issue money will be worth a fortune a few years from now!
Just reminds me of those infomercials and their claims of "valuable" coins. I'll believe it when I see it.
the surfer rules, ph34r his power cosmic bitches.
Only 40,000? My god those things are going to be worth their weight in gold in the collector's market. As a coin collector, "I" want one.
If anyone here finds one, let me know, I'll offer something cool for it. Even after the contest is over.
Looks like they're just modified California state quarters, which would explain why they'd still be legal tender.
Cool idea for a movie promotion, I just think that maybe they could have saved it for a (potentially) better movie.
I'm gonna wait for the scarred Half-Dollar coin promotion for "The Dark Knight".
I'll wait for the $3 dollar bill promotion for "Broke Back Mountain"
My money would be the last place I would have expected any advertisements. What's next, Norbit 2 on the 1 dollar bill?
That's pretty frickin' insane.
The US mint is not putting these things out. Some private mint is putting them out. If the mint wanted to go after the Franklin Mint, they could.
I'd love to get my hands on one.
I thought this was said to be actual US currency and not just a collectable coin. Am I wrong?
