PopBox Collectibles have just sent word about something that will be of interest to Transformers Movie fans. There will be an All Spark cube replica in the works for an October release to the Asian market. This limited edition collectible will be able to be used as a paperweight.

The cube will be around 1:4 scale at around 7-8cm in size (size like Rubik's cube), made of die-cast metal and will be replica of that in the movie. The edges will be more rounded for safety purposes. Will come in a wooden box or sort of specialty packaging and possibly a small transparent base to stand it up on its corner, to be determined. Suggested retail is $60.

Kinda neat..I do like the detail plus that added bonus of being able to kill someone with it (self defence, of course)...nothing like die cast metal

Bit much for something the same size as a rubics cube. Still, I like it.

Nice! I may pose my Titanium 3" Bumblebee next to it. That should be about the right size from the film, no? :)

If its being released to the asian market why are the edges being rounded for safety standards? (almost pokes eye out with lance of longinus)

    Hmm...not bad.

I really hope that the thing is explained in the next movie. It's just a McGuffin for now, and has real potential to expand the mythology in that particular TF universe.

I hope they eventually make a 1:1 scale replica of the cube, but even better than that would be a 1:1 replica of Frenzy.

"Before time began, there was... the cube. We know not where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and fill them... with life. That is how our race was born. For a time we had lived in harmony, but like all great power, some wanted it for good... others, evil. And so, began the war. A war that ravages our planet until it was consumed by death. And the cube was lost to the far reaches of space. We step in across the galaxy hoping to find it and rebuild our home. Searching every star. Every world. And just when all hopes seem lost; message of a new discovery took us to an unknown planet called... Earth. But we were already too late."

Ooh man! I so wanna get one of these! But $60.00 is a little too pricey. For it being a scaled-down paper weight, I'd consider buying it at $40.00 or less.

Yes, I agree. I would really like to have an in-scale cube. I wonder if Hasbro will make one?

Short smokestacks, battle damage, and they will shape it so it can be a ball.

    I feel real safe.

Neat. Wish they could make a version of the cube for the action figures though.

If it were actual size (you know, sam holding size, not building sized :p ) and not rubiks cube size, and had a die cast shell instead of being solid steel (it would be too heavy then!) then I would probably buy it in a second for that suggested price. As just a little paperweight? No.

Still hoping that Hasbro will make a cheap full sized plastic one. Still dont know why they havent.

Well $60.00 certainly pricy, but at least it isn't over a $1,000 dollars or something. $60.00 Dollars is kinda ... just not kind enough for my wallet. :cry  I wanted to own the creator of the Transformers (wahhh!)
