Wow. I'm considering canceling my Predaking pre-order so I can afford one of these. That looks awesome.

It was a safe bet to predict takara would color that animated prime toy black.

almost every new prime mold gets colored black by takara.

now it appears the newest thing is doing translucent colored prime toys.

I think it's a safe bet to assume that Takara won't be doing any white ultra magnus recolors using the optimus prime mold for a while. As the ultra magnus character appears to be stealing back his mojo & getting unique style G-1 ultra magnus new molds.

 

Not sure why he's an autobot, but who am I kidding I'd love to have one, but alas, he will be the only animated figure missing from my collection.

2 places, one loose (Which I feel ripped off now but you live and learn) and bodhar2000. Apparently, there will be another event with at least a thousand of them on hand. This isn't going to be rare at all 

EDIT: If you brought one from him, check your email, you should have a refund already

 

He could do without the pale grey on the axe/gun but that mold sure looks great in nemesis colours  . I just need to find a 'Con insignia or 2...

 

Thanks for the tip, I would have dropped $175 on a loose one otherwise. Hopefully I'll get a boxed later release for less, because I definitely don't want to miss out on this toy.

That's because Takara doesn't always assign the black redeco as an evil version of Optimus. Many of the black Primes they've released over the years are basically heroic Optimus in a new paintjob.

 

I don't mind the seeker repaints but I just could never get into the black OP's.

 

damn! i freaking hate animated but this one TF might make me change that rule...
