I picked him up this morning on an impusive buying spree along with Swerve and another alternator Grimlock....anyways on topic.

Scattorshot to my suprise is really tiny. Alot smaller than I thought he'd be but he's a golden example to that old saying good things come in small packages. He's a fantastic basic. The paint apps on him are crisp and clean, no slop job on him anywhere and he's armed to the teeth. Hasbro/takara could have taken the short cut with this guy and just let him stay happy with his two press launch missles and flip open missle battery pack on his back, but they went the extra measure and thru gatlin guns on his shoulders and gave him a really G1esque double barrelled hand gun. LOVE THAT IDEA!! The detailing for a basic is great. I havent' seen this much thought put into a basic since the days of Battle for the Spark(with the execpt of energon Arcee and Divebomb). The head scuplt is fantastic and for some reason or another gives a strong Bumblebee vibe to the character. I wasn't really planning on getting any basics till Rumble came out, but I'm glad I didn't. While the only downside to him is his Armada Megatron leg articulation, but I guess thats just now normal with figures since armada. He's a damn fine basic and well worth passing over Ransack and Overhaul as a first basic for your Cybertorn collection. Hands down he's in my top 5 basics with Arcee, Divebomb, Spystreak, and Hammerstrike. :thumbs2:

I love the little guy too. The lack of leg articulation is a problem (one that seems like a real duh-duh mistake like on Armada Megatron), but he's quirky/cool enough overcome it. I really like that he's the smallest basic and yet has perhaps the most weapons out of all the figures in all the classes released so far. I can't wait for his upgrade.

    Wow!
He almost looks like he should be a deluxe sized figure with the amount of detailing that the mold appears to have

Picked him up today along with VP and Landmine. I gotta say, I just love the little guy. I really like the character(on both versions of the show) and I mean other than the lack of leg articulation, he's just a fun little basic with a lot of character in it. Which is something I've thought a lot of these figures possess, they just have a lot of character to them all. I recommend him.

Scattorshot is pretty cool, I just really hate the lack of Leg articulation which could have pushed it from a 'pretty cool' to 'awesome' very easily.

    I give Scattorshot a B

I've been singing this guy's praises, since I got him. He really should have been deluxe, with some leg articulation. But, he still looks good in a wide legged stance.

Cool reviews (and cool pics, SW). I think I may have to pick this guy up. He certainly isn't hard to find at the moment.

edit: His upgrade is GF Backgild (I don't know what the Cyb. name will be). I've seriously been suffering from toy lust ever since I saw the first pics of Backgild :lol  so having the "original" version of the character might be cool, too.

    Can you say "overcompensating"? :D

Scattorshot sounds like a winner to me - I'd heard good things about him for a while now, but confirmation by those who waited for Cybertron makes it even more sure in my mind.

Was I the only one that thought of him as an "upgrade" of Signal Flare at first glance? It's kinda like the same way Overhaul is reminiscent of Energon Ironhide.

I just picked up one this morning, but kinda disapionted.
first of all I must say he does look pretty nice and painted well but the down side is he's not very posable there are only like 1 or 2 cool ways to set him up. And I thought Habro was shooting for more posable figures these days.... :(  ( 0 yea and he's a little too small another down side)

This guy would have been world-class if only his legs moved. No knees is a fatal flaw to a figure, and no hips is a fatal flaw to a figure. But no knees and no hips?! Ugh... This little guy is lucky the rest of him is so good.

I thought we left this no articulation crap behind with Armada. I mean, I can't rip Scattorshot too bad because I kinda' like him but...such a shame.

I love this guy and I'm pretty impressed with all the scout class Cybertron figures, with one ot two exceptions. Articulation has never been a hugh factor for me, I can usually find a good pose that makes me happy. The detail on him and having a nice transformation is what sells it for me.

Picked him up this afternoon along with Landmine. I've barely put him down since. Poor Landmine is getting virtually ignored by comparison. :lol

I love everything about the little guy, from the color scheme to the Cyber Key gimmick. I especially like the little Autobot symbol on his left hand. Such a subtle little touch that I didn't even notice at first. I even like the pressure release missile, and ordinarily I hate those things. The lack of leg articulation doesn't bother me at all because the rest of the figure is so incredible. Fantastic toy. :thumb

can the missles be flipped over his head to fire on foes in robot mode?? or are they only worth anything in vehicle mode? I've been passing this guy up so far cause he is SO tiny for 7 bucks *L*

Yeah, the missile rack can be flipped up to face forward.

Yeah, the backpack area is hinged so that the long cannons can be brought up over his shoulders, with the missile rack mounted behind his head.

I love Scattorshot. He's tiny, yet sturdy. Fairly unique alt-mode, unique transformation, great detail work, and an awesome character. I thought the missing leg articulation would bug me more, but in all honesty, it really doesn't. There's still plenty that can be done with him.

This guy is a classic example of mis-sizings with this line. Just like Jetfire, this guy should have been a deluxe, to allow for better leg articulation. The problem with him is that everything else on the figure is so good that it adds a slight dissapointment factor. All in all though he's worth the money :)

The very fact that he is so tiny in his alt mode was a huge selling point for me. I think he's incredible. I also really like the fact that his missiles are not spring loaded, that way there's no accidental firing. So many of my transformers have their missiles removed because it's too easy to set them off.

hey don't get me wrong, i think they did a grest job for his size- I just think that he needed a couple more design reviews regarding leg articulation, before he weas ready to go into production

Bought him yesterday. Such a fun little toy. The lack of leg articulation doesn't bother me much. Had he been a deluxe or larger it would have been a major dissapointment, but on a basic, especially one with this much detail and play value a little lack of leg articulation means nothing.

Victoria was entertained for almost an hour by his little Force Chip gimmick...
