    Hey everyone!

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on upcoming sales for DOTM toys. I'm trying to remember how long it took for ROTF figures to go on sale. I figured if I could save some scratch, I might wait to buy the bulk of my DOTM toys. Thoughts?

It was about two weeks the last time. Save your receipts. Places like target gives you back the difference within 60 days of purchase.

Regardless of the time period, we have 90 days to return toys to Target and Walmart. This may be looked down upon some people but you can rebuy the toys when it's on sale and return them with your original receipt.

I'm hoping soon, because that's probably the only way I'll buy any.

whenever this happens the money goes back to the store either way. i tend to buy another one. better for the store that way.

the price has to stay at purchased price within a certain time frame. this saves the stores time, money and good customer service. imagine the number of returns during the sale.

for peeps who look down upon this: let's say you purchase something then the day after it goes on sale. pretty unfair especially if you ask if there will be an upcoming sale. first thing people would do is to return and make up excuses then get the same item on sale. "rebuying" is more logical for stores to do since they can cut on returned items, keep the money and most probably at the time will spend on the sale item. also this removes the fear from the price dropping at any time and act upon the purchase. this will improve cash flow for retailers.

so it removes fear of price dropping at any moment, smooths out transactions and improves cash flow for retailers.

in my area it goes from 30 to 45 days. i think it also depends on the price tag. the higher it is the longer it should stay the same price.

credit cards also do this. :D

the best part are price errors though. during sales there's always errors. leading to more rebates and sometimes free items.

Figured I'd wait and get some figures on sale, it ain't gonna be hard to get movie figures. Last time when ROTF came out, I spent 400 bucks on toys in one fell swoop to WM at midnight.

Did pick up Sentinel Prime, Topspin, and Roadbuster.

Hey Six,if you look Walmart already has there DOTM figs on sale, for deluxes they are $9.88 or about that,Voyagers are $18 and something, and leaders are $43.So I say hell why wait 2 or 3 weeks to get them a dollar cheaper, besides those prices aren't bad.

Toys for any movie will almost always go on sale the week the movie hits theaters. I doubt there will be anything before that.
