    Hey everyone,

I am getting a couple cheap lamps to take pictures of toys with and I was wondering what type of bulbs are good to use. I want a clean white light that is bright. My camera is a Canon Power Shot A530 (5 megapixels). Are the energy saver spiral ones any good? What would a good watt level be?

Thanks in advance, I am not very good at this stuff.

I use 100 watt reveal bulbs. The best things you can do for your pics is to build a light tent, and get a tripod if you don't have one.

Here is the site I used to build mine. light tent

So many people use these reveal bulbs I may end up switching. Just had two of my 250 Watt photo lamps pop last night and need some sort of light bulbs for my reflectors. I may give these a shot. Anybody know what the top wattage available in reveal style bulbs is?
