I'm pretty sure Optimus is supposed to be taller than 10 feet.
Unless everyone is shorter in the future.

Cool non the less.(whatever that means)

    edit:
That looks like movie Optimus's head.

The sketch seems to be Animated Prime, but with Movie Prime's feet and hands...weird!

There also seems to be aspects of g1 Optimus.
Parts of the shins, the wheels on the torso, and the smokestacks.

Yeah, it's deffinately a Movie/G1/Animated hybrid design. Just compare the sketch to the model. And I hardley think 10 feet would be anywhere near life-sized, but it's awesome regardless.

As an amateur roboticist, I gotta wonder if this is supposed to be a fully functional robot, or just a metal sculpture?

A lifesize Prime would be 30 ft. tall. :p

That said this looks awesome. I wonder if it's just a statue or an actual robot.

I think it looked pretty cool unpainted white. Also...is the head just the Optimus helmet toy for the movie?

Pic of it fully painted and such: [IMG]

Don't care for the flames on it (lol, that brings memories..heh), but not too bad looking.

    However, it doesn't transform.

    10 feet of fail >:O

I can't see how anyone could call this FAIL just because it dont transform. You have to have some serious tallent to even pull something like this off. This is just pure awesome, I love the raw bolted look and the mix of generations. I wouldnt have the nerve to call this is a fail because it dont transform.. I could never build anything close to it..The only person i ever seen build anything close to this is Anemis over in Radicons who is building a 52 inch Metroplex.

Cool G1/Movie/Animated hybrid Prime model! Interesting how his chest is full of purplish lights.

I like it, though I don't care for the flames that much.
