Never followed all the comics , but was there anything written about life on Unicron? I know his inside's consisted of parasite bots , digestive track lasers, stomach acid rivers and stuff, but what about his exterior? Would be cool if there was some wildlife, or little evil dudes living in those orange cone houses, just trying to make a living. Taking their kids fishing, or just cruising around. Everyone avoiding the North Pole because there's a huge freaking mouth in the ground. Unicron keeps transforming and messing sh*t up.
I guess in Armada/Energon it showed just how hostile Unicron's surface could be. Just ask Armada Thrust. I for one wouldn't want to live there.
maybe if he was dormant for a few millions years. but without atmosphere, and water/landmasses it would be difficult for life to evolve or survive
I think the last gi-joe\tf comic kinda covered that. He had the survivors from all of the world he at working as slaves on the inside to help process the materials from the worlds he ate. So far as lift on the surface. I wouldn't imagine a lot could live there honestly. If he's flying\warping around space it'd be very difficult for any life to get a good start. However I'd imagine that being a slave inside Unicron to be a living hell. I'd liken it to the episode of Gi-Joe when they had to fight off a giant mechanical sea serpent that kept eating ships, and all the time getting larger as it did
The surface could be like a giant metal desert, with scavngers surving by living off junk. Like evil Junkions, but Unicron bred. Eventually they'd build some ships and become pirates.

Well if you think about the stuff that lives on your skin that you can see then it seems logical that something might live on the outside of Unicron. As large as he is he's got to have his own gravitational pull which would leave a good deal of space junk on him if something wasn't taking care of it. Unicron did seem like a rather messy eater. Now intelligent life is a tougher question. Although if I was something like a space pirate and I needed some place no one would look for me at I can't think of many places avoided more than Unicron.
Unicron seems more down with the death of everything than having stuff live in a state touching him, however small. I'd get the feeling he'd be pretty aggressive about keeping his surface free of stuff.
I'd imagine the surface of Unicron is probably swarming with all kinds of predators and other creatures bred from Unicron's cells to keep away outsiders. A bit like the swarms of Dead End drones seen during Armada.
From what I gather the armada minicons lived inside unicron for a while. in the cybertron cartoon series in 2005. there were subtle hints that planet X was unicron. both soundwave & sideways appeared to want revenge to planet X/Unicron getting destroyed.
