So with the Heroes, Losts, Finges, and Smallvilles, this show probably doesn't get as much, if any attention. Anyone else here watch this show? With all the drama and brain twisting, and scandalous shows out there, this show hits the spot for me. It has a little bit of the mystery aspect evident in Lost and Fringe, but it also doesn't take itself too seriously.
I've not seen the US version, but the original UK series was the best thing that's been on TV for ages!
I watch it and really dig it. I've missed the last couple of weeks though, but they are on the DVR so hopefully I can play catch-up this weekend.
I loved the original. I do watch the new one, it's about 80% as good as the original. I do enjoy Harvey Keitel his Gene is quite different but still good. Plus the chick from the Notorious Betty Page is Annie.
I was planning to watch it, but then I sorta...forgot. Plus, I keep hearing it's just a pale imitation of the original, so I may just rent that instead.
Philip Glenister would make a brilliant Doctor Who. Then bring John Simm back as the Master so they can face off in the 1970s.
I haven't watched this, and probably never will, because I think that most American remakes are crap. Could be wrong though.
I think this one will actually benefit greatly from a localised remake. While issues of sexism and racism were both prevelant in 1970's US and England, there would be lots of different social aspects to look at. Vietnam, the continuing march of civil rights and many others that my education did not cover. I think this will be the same but different.
I've been DVRing this show since it started and I haven't been disappointed yet. The characters are all pretty likable. I'm not a big Lisa Bonnet fan, but luckily she doesn't get too much screentime for the most part in the episodes.
