You missed my point. Some fans wanted a leader Sky Shadow with the accurate decoy body legs that the G1 shell body toy had. Being a Pretender doesn't negate the desire for accuracy and could be why Takara didn't make an LG leader Black Shadow, for now.

 

Exactly! There’s so much more to G1 than 1984-1986, and even those years aren’t completely covered yet.

Who said I was whining? All I said was some fans want accurate legs and maybe Takara is holding off on Black Shadow for more accurate legs later on.

You're whining about about fans merely wanting accuracy on toys in a thread about toys that Takara retooled for more accuracy. Given that they've retooled Misfire, Twin Twist and Sky Shadow this extensively, a Black Shadow with accurate legs isn't out of the question especially since they've yet to make an LG leader class Black Shadow.

 

At least Encore Landcross is possible. The molds were used only about 10 years ago or so...

The fans that don't have Sky Shadow might pay for it and it would be less for fans in Japan. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a more accurate Sky Shadow. Look at how retooled these Big Powered figures are compared to their base toys.

So I don't understand why someone would think it's stupid to want accurate toys when this very thread is about toys that were heavily retooled to be more accurate. If Big Powered was just a set of repaints of Twin Twist, Misfire and Sky Shadow, most wouldn't care. The fact that someone would think that desire for more accuracy is stupid is in fact, stupid.

And evidently people seem to forget that the main complaint when Sky Shadow was revealed were the legs being accurate to Overlord but not him.

 

I'm happy with the Hasbro sky shadow we got. I don't need a takara one.

Is there a timestamp on this complaint so we can check the logs and figure out when in the cycle this particular complaint was the "main" one.

 

I thought the main complaint was that he (all of him) was a blatant Overlord pre-tool.
