Make no mistake, I've equally ripped into Takara when they deserved it. I don't drink Koolaid, I stay angry.. But I also try to credit where it's due, and those two situations with this and God Ginrai they deserve it.

Even as cool as Takara shuttle Blast Off is.. and as cool as it looked in the pictures.. Takara Technobot Strafe really does actually feel like a mess in hand compared to Hasbro's version.. and I NEVER thought I'd be feeling that. Also speaking of that set Takara really dropped the ball with Nosecone's paint job, I know it's screen over toy accuracy for them. but it just doesn't feel like Nosecone. No, Takara is not without issue.

 

Absolutely loving this but for ironically for what this means for the alternate versions of the characters rather than the direct Zone versions.

Dai Atlus means we're that much closer to an IDW update of Drift and perhaps even Wing.

Sonic means a potential Hiryu based repaint for the dozen of us Might Gaine fans stateside.

 

I'm more surprised by the figures they're doing.
Who ever thought we'd get Zone updates?

I'm not surprised that Takara is doing it on their own since they did say that the Legends line would be getting it's own stuff separate from what both companies are putting out in regards to Generations.

 

If Dai Atlas is the Black Shadow retool I’m sold.

When I read the title I though of Big Powered GV from Diaclone. I was very confused.

I really want this, because JG1 is my jam, but there's no way I can afford it.

 

I don't care if these come to the US, (I mean, I hope they do) I'm preordering from Japan and calling it a day. I'm not missing out on this. Past lines have taught me not to screw around anymore.

I have FP's Dai Atlas and I very much doubt this will hold a candle to it. I may still get the set for Sonic Bomber and Road Fire, though I would have preferred Sonic Bomber as a voyager.

 

True. FP's Dai Atlas is a very dedicated creation.
But they only made Dai Atlas.
This way I can have the entire team.

 

What are the chances the brand unification even works in the reverse direction (Hasbro porting over Takara initiated designs)?

 

So is this a new character? if not are there any old pics of what it might look like.

 

You know, when Takara said they would continue the Legends line under an exclusive banner, I was definitely not expecting the Big Powered trio. Can’t wait to see what the robot modes look like.

So, based on what I know,

Sky Shadow = Dai Atlas
Twin Twist = Roadfire
Misfire = Sonic Bomber

Is that about right?
