Looks really cool so far. I hope this means more Legends releases shortly after this.

Me too, but watch - their partners will probably be Headmasters.

If they’re willing to retool them, Speeder from Swindler, Sonic from Roadhandler, and Drillbuster from Flak or Big Shot.

Whoa. I didn't know that the Powered Masters were that varied in size. I have the Kabaya versions of these figures and Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber are both about the same height and Road Fire is only about a head and a half shorter than them.

They could. But I wouldn't hold your breath.

This really feels like a "get it however you can while you can" from Takara kind of thing.

Seeing this makes me realize Hasbro/Takara had this planned from the word go.

Why else would Sky Shadow and Overlord both have the jet-riding-tank "combined" mode when neither ever did anything like it in G1?

I’ve been with Transformers since early G1, & Titans Return has been my favourite Transformers line ever! Love that they’re finding a way to continue it somehow. Now if you’re listening HasTak, Scorponok, Apeface, Pointblank & the rest would like a word with you ;)

I wonder if we'll get a Sky Garry and Grandus down the line if Big Powered is successful

I like to be optimistic and all, but they seem like a bit of a stretch right now - at the very least, it's feasible we'll get a jet mold somewhat soon that could work for SG*. Grandus seems like a big ask. I'm here for it, though.

*I'm personally hoping for Galaxy Shuttle, and that's insane.

So to anyone with the originals, given that we know these new ones are either heavy retools of Misfire/Sky Shadow/Twin Twist or new tools with shared engineering....are the originals bigger? I've only seen scans of them fr catalogs online and they looked huge.

Just googling Sky Garry and his alt isn't all that far off from a stylized Forged to Fight Megatronus.

I’d gladly pay $400 for an MP Big Powered.

I’ll definitely PO this in the meantime though. I’m a sucker for everything Ginrai, Star Saber, & Dai Atlas related.

Uhm. While I have no personal attachment to Dai Atlas, he would complement nicely the other Autobot leader in my collection. Having said that, I would prefer him to be larger and not a retool of a mold I already own in two copies. Then again, I'm well aware that this is the only way we can have Dai Atlas in the current line. It's going to be way more expensive than I'd like to pay for chugs, but the Big Powered combination is unique in the line. And if he retains a base mode with the TR style connectors, I can attach him to Fortress Maximus.
I guess I'll wait for more pictures and the final price before deciding.

Late to the party here, but this is looking terrific. Such a perfect use of those molds, and it expands the Japanese G1 corner of Generations immensely.

Although this does make me even more disappointed than I already was that we never got a Metrotitan. Come on, Takara... it's never too late!
