In Transformers 4 and 5, Drift has had some Chinese (I think) characters on his leg. Anybody know that they are? for a bit more info, in a lot of the promotional images for TF5, Drift was almost entirely red, which made no sense as his car mode was almost entirely black. However, in the film, he had a more realistic color palette given what he turns into. Now, on most of those strange red images, he had these characters on his right thigh. In some fixed images (I think they were fan made), he had a more black color palette, as seen in the film, but the characters were nowhere to be found. However, in the actual movie, he had a more black color scheme and he had those characters.

So, to reiterate, what exactly are the meanings of those symbols? BTW, I'm trying to look them up to get a good view of them, as I intend on custom painting my deluxe Drift figure to be more accurate. AoEDrift_CG.jpg TLK Drift Red.png TLK Corrected Drift.png TLK Movie Drift.jpg

I think those had meaning in Japanese, since Drift is a Cybertronian Samurai after all.

No, it's chinese or may be japanese, but they are similar sometimes. The last big character means "force". I will try to translate or ask my friend.

The second one probably means weapon, but I doubt. The calligraphy ruins them all:lol  Also, the plates cover each other and hide characters partially:(

It's probably Kanji - a form of Japanese that borrows Chinese characters, hence the similarities - although I have no clue what it says.
