Just watched Akira a couple days ago

 

My dad's girlfriend gave me these two little feathered friends over the weekend

 

So, my fiance's coworker's niece needed the birds more than I did. Aaaand we got a puppy

 

This is the pumpkin DD carved.

 

Not really my picture but the largest statue so far built has been unveiled in India, still very cool

Well, it's Guy Fawkes' night here, so there have been fireworks displays all over the place for the last few nights... figured I'd try and get some shots of a few of them from my hilltop vantage point

Pup's name is Shaddix (came with the name)
So, said Fiancè (I probably misspelled it, not that it matters now) is now my husband

 

Its an interesting name.

What on Earth's a mezzanine?

It's an upper level raised floor, over the main floor. Kind of like a catwalk. Used for getting access to valves etc.
