Those toy collecting wierdos upstairs have had a thread to show off cool stuff for ages, so its about time we had one.

Signed comics? Cool back issues? Covers that join up? Nice Hardcovers? Proof that you have sex? Post it all.

I'll get the ball rolling with the early years of the original TMNT (background edited to save you the horror of my linen) -

I'll post more later, don't want to hammer the bandwidth too much.

    Godzilla #1 and X-Men 108 (1st John Byrne)

Fallen Angels 1-8 maybe not the most impressive thing that will be shown here but when it first came out I was crazy into it.

I have some really cool stuff, a bunch of 1960’s stuff like Avengers #8, lots of Nick Fury and His Howling Commandos, Batman, Superman and good stuff like that. But like a few other really good things I have (like 1st appearance of Punisher) I can’t fined them. I really hope they are in the storage locker. Damn I’ll be pissed if they are lost forever.

I don't have a lot of comics any more (other than TF DW stuff), but a few highlights...

Comics I actually like and re-read at times:

    Kingdom Come #1 - 4
The Pro #1 - Damn funny one-shot about a superpowered prostitute and her interactions with a Justice League parody team.
Ruins #1 - By far the best comic produced by Marvel ever, a look at what would happen if everything in the beginnings of the Marvel U went wrong. Issue #2 is my comic collecting grail.
Gen13 #43 - 44 - Most of Gen13 was crap punctuated by T&A, but this two-parter (Fairchild vs a sentient pop song) was clever.
Detective Comics #526 - Pre-Crisis story where the Joker organizes every Batvillain for a coordinated attack on Batman and friends. Also featured the pre-Crisis Jason Todd in a pre-Robin costume.

Comics I've been keeping in the vague hope they'll be valuable some day:

    Star Wars (Marvel) #75
    Amazing Spider-Man #258
Spawn #18 and 21 (the so-called 'scarce' issues)
X-Men #171 (Rogue joins the team)
    X-Men #25 (origin of Onslaught)
    Wolverine #3 (first limited series)
Marvel Secret Wars #8 (first alien costume)
Amazing Spiderman#361 (first full appearance of Carnage)
Daredevil #...something (look! ninjas! and Elektra!)
    Flash #92 (first Impulse appearance)
GL #49 - 50 (Hal goes nuts, actually a decent story)
    JLA #1
    Nightwing #1

Not really comic books, but still prized items:

Cool stuff. I've still got a real soft spot for the New Mutants stuff... gorgeous covers.

Rarest thing I've got is probably this:

    http://www.komiks.gildia.pl/komiksy/hitman/kolekcjonerskie1

Nice hardback collection with the origin and up to the Final Night crossover. I don't know enough Polish yet to read much, but I've got the original English issues.

Is that Superman: Speeding Bullets the one that's a What If Superman's rocket landed in Gotham and the Wayne family adopted him? If so, I've been looking for that, but had no clue what issue that was. I saw it in a regular (non-comic) store ages ago, but didn't buy it and forgot about it until I got into comics again fairly recently.

You are correct. Here's a bit on the issue from Superman Homepage
    And if anyone's interested:

In Darkest Knight is a story about Bruce Wayne getting a Lantern Ring from Abin Sur instead of Hal.

Gotham by Gaslight is the first Elseworlds title made. It features Batman in 1889 fighting Jack the Ripper.
Gaslight is being reprinted in August, with the additonal story "Masters of the Future" (which isn't in the original printing)
