Thanks, much appreciated! It is indeed the Square Enix Play Arts Kai version but with a custom modified head. A red LED light (takes a CR 1220 battery and has an on/off switch) was added to simulate the glowing mono-optic/eye in his helmet/mask.

Metal Gear Solid 1 still remains one of my favorite all-time games and Cyborg Ninja a great character with an awesome design. I do have the other MGS1 figures in the PAK line but they're boxed up at the moment.

 

As you can see from my username, I a bit of a Cyborg Ninja fan myself  
I love the character and his design. The LED head was what threw me off about it being the PAK version, which I own. despite looking real cool, I'm fine with not having the LED eye, but I'd love to own the open mask face though.

 

I wish I could take credit for the LED eye mod but I just bought the figure secondhand.

Quite a bit of work went into the mod with the customizer cutting the top back half of the head clean off (it's held in place with a metal pin and a magnet so it's easy to remove and put back), and the inside of the head scooped out to make room for the LED eye and battery compartment with the on/off switch. Very intricate work there, especially given the small space.

Oh yeah, the SDCC Red version of Cyborg Ninja includes the open-faced/unmasked head as a bonus but darn if it isn't super expensive on the aftermarket!

 

I'm more interested in Rex and Ray in the background.

 

Square Enix Bring Arts Nier Automata 2B and companion Machine Lifeform.

3A Half-Size Metal Gear Rex likes to eat up batteries, particularly the rail gun cannon arm. Seems to drain them even when the switch is turned off. Kinda wish it came with a stand too like Ray. You can pose it to stand better by itself better than Ray but I wouldn't trust gravity with such a pricey figure so leaning Rex against something is kinda mandatory for longterm display.

Other than that, Rex is very cool and is a much more iconic mecha design to me than Ray (despite Ray being slightly bigger; a little disappointed that Ray doesn't come with a full length tail like it does in MGS2 but instead has the shorter truncated tail design of MGS4).

Also, I learned that blueish purple background is quite troublesome when it comes to chromatic aberrations.

She is. I always enjoyed Yoshitaka Amano's ethereal character designs (Final Fantasy VI being the last FF game where his designs were mainstays before Tetsuya Nomura took over fully in FFVII) and Square Enix did an awesome job with this figure.

Really hope they make a Kefka Palazzo (also a very colorful character both literally and figuratively) so she has someone to fight against.  

Celes Chere would be great too. Actually, she has shown up in Dissidia games like Kefka has.
