(This is totally sparked from the idea that nearly every Final Fantasy game has been remade or given a true sequel of sorts ... except for Final Fantasy VI. So this is your creative outlet to create a sequel for one of the most beloved games.)

Square-Enix has come to you, the most avid Final Fantasy VI fan, and has said to you the following:

Come up with a story, your characters, and any game play changes/implements you'd like to do! Go go go!

As much as I love FFVI, I don't want it to get a sequel since the original game really felt complete (plus it would be really hard to top a villain like Kefka) :)  .

Honestly, I would want this sequel to be a reunion of sorts. It would almost literally start with a chapter for all of your surviving members. Shadow would be playable if you chose that he lived when you played (honesty is up to the player).

Initially, we find our character years in the future, all of them living their own lives. Every ten years, they meet together for a reunion, and it's coming up, but they have things that they all need to put in order, which is where each chapter takes you (you play individual characters for a couple of hours), though these characters may have friends that tag along that are not part of the main group. For example, Locke hears that something very precious to him was left in the cave where his fiance perished.

When they finally do meet up is when the game begins. Something is "wrong" in the world, and they kinda look at eachother and say, "yeah, it's time again."

Yeah, it's a little like Dragon Lance Chronicles, but these characters were just as strong.
