When I went to see transformers 1 in the theater i knew there would be those "people". You know which ones im talking about...some of you reading this are probably in this group....the people who get so excited that they are unable to control thier nerdgasms and feel the need to hoot and holler and CLAP and cheer over things such as, but not limited to:

• the original g1 transformation sound
• optimus prime transforming for the first time
• when prime took out his energon axe
• "i am megatron"

So, lets make a pact right now that you will not do this sort of thing come opening day for this new movie. Dont clap when soundwave speaks, dont clap when you hear an old g1 line, just dont CLAP period...ever...if you must clap, do so at the end of the movie, dont ruin it for everyone else becuase you cant control yourself. If you dont think you can handle this request then please wait to see the movie when it is released on DVD.

I don't clap but i don't think its a big deal if people do...

 

  I don't do that kinda stuff in the theater. I just sit and watch the dang movie. When I saw the first movie I just got goosebumps or gasped at certain scenes like the ones you listed. But I don't clap. I have to admit though, I find people like that annoying. When I saw The Dark Knight it was crazy. If their actual fans I may have a lil more respect though.  

 

The most I'll be doing is wearing a grin that goes beyond ear to ear. no clapping for me.

 

the dark knight is another good example, clapping is just as bad as people on thier phone texting or talking...clapping is distracting and noisy. There is a reason why when you see a live performance they ask you to hold the applause for the end

 

i'm going to find whichever theatre you are at bottom_out, and clap in it 

 

As a matter of fact, let's just announce an all out ban on laughing at the funny parts. I'm so sick of all you people finding the jokes and gags humorous and ruining my silent movie-watching experience.


While we're on the subject, would it kill you all to just not show up? I hate it when I have to wait in a line to see a movie, and all your pre and post movie chatter is like the devils flatulence to me.

 

You could wait for the torrent. No likelihood of clapping when you're watching it.

 

Hrmm. You know I'm all for being quiet during a movie,
but I love when crowds get into movies like this.
Plus, I can always watch it again if I miss something.
It's not like someone clapping when Devastator
forms will RUINED FOREVER this movie.

When I went to see TF on opening day in my local theater, there wasn't any clapping during the movie, but the film received a standing ovation at its conclusion. I'm not sure how many hardcore TF fans were there, (I was a fan, but not as much as I am now), but they waited until the end. That said, in IMAX on opening day, it may be different, and more hardcore fans may be there.

 

Wow, this gets the award for "Whiny Bitch Thread of the Week".

Must admit the nutty fan boys were a little annoying when i saw TF1 first time, but was kept at a minimum thankfully.

Huge uproar when credits started through... that WAS annoying. Couldn't hear Sam's mum and dad's little denial bit.

 

Try removing that broom handle before you go to the movie. 

 

No worries. I won't be clapping. I'll be sitting in that movie theater, eyes peeled to the screen, eating popcorn as quietly as possible, and wait until the credits roll to express my feelings about ROTF.

 

I like when people get into a movie so I WILL be clapping and I know others will be as well.
